George A. Mitchell of Jordan Station, Ontario, Canada, is currently serving his eighth term as a member of the Boards of Directors for Shriners of North America and Shriners Hospitals for Children. Mitchell was re-elected during the Shriners� 2007 annual international convention � or Imperial Council Session � held in Anaheim, Calif., July 1-5. He serves as Imperial Assistant Rabban, part of the 13-member body that helps govern the Shriners fraternity. Mitchell is also currently serving as chairman of the Imperial Membership Committee.

Mitchell is the president and owner of Mitchell�s Bunsmaster Bakery and Deli and Maple Leaf Investments. He attended St. Catharine�s Collegiate and Vocational School and majored in business at Niagara College. He is a member of St. Catharine�s Business Club and a Kentucky Colonel of Niagara.

Mitchell, who was Potentate of Rameses Shriners in 1997, is a life-member to several Shrine clubs, as well as Adanac Lodge #614, the Scottish Rite and York Rite bodies, Knights Templar, the Cabiri and the National Sojourners, Milwaukee Chapter #27. He is currently Sr. Warden of Lodge of Perfection #616, and a member of Seymour York Rite College #185. Mitchell is also an emeritus member of the board of governors of the Erie Shriners Hospital.

Mitchell and his wife, Deanna, have two sons, a daughter and three grandchildren.
